Oath of the Dragon Knight | 5E Paladin Subclass
The Oath of the Dragon Knight is as old as the first ascendant dragons. Sometimes called dragon keepers, paladins who swear this oath dedicate themselves to serving as a protector of a powerful dragon. Typically, a dragon worthy of this oath is protected by multiple paladins, who form an order in the dragon’s name. They adorn their armor and clothing with scales and imagery to reflect their commitment to helping extend the dragon’s influence.
These paladins are also watchful guardians of a dragon’s nest. Dragon eggs require delicate incubation conditions over an extensive period of time. Often, paladins who swear this oath are tasked with both protecting a clutch and supervising newly hatched dragons emerging into the world. This act of devotion between a dragon and their Dragon Knight forms a lifelong bond few can aspire to experience.
